CDC Class 3A TP Test Guide
ComfortDelGro Driving Centre · Auto car
Everything you need to walk into your TP practical test at CDC Ubi knowing exactly what's coming: the test-day routine, every circuit station, the road traps, and how the tester scores you.
Key facts
- How you fail
1 Immediate Failure (IF), or 20 or more demerit points. Demerits come in steps of 2, so 18 is the highest passing score.
- Test length
About 45 min booked. The actual drive is often 20–35 min: circuit first, then road.
- Test fee (2026)
$360.13: $40.00 TP fee + $2.94 admin + $317.19 test vehicle and warm-up. No refund if you cancel.
- CDC Class 3A pass rate
39% first attempt, 47% repeat (Traffic Police data, Aug 2025 – Jul 2026). The lowest of the 3 centres.
- Speed limit
Stay at 50 km/h or under. Most roads around CDC are 50, Airport Road included. A few stretches are signed 60 or 70, but 50 is the safe cap. Going over the posted limit is an IF.
- Circuit-only fail
If you hit 20 points in the circuit, the test usually ends there and you never go on the road.
If you remember only three things
- 1
Stop fully at every stop line in the circuit, even where there's no STOP sign. It's the IF learners remember most.
- 2
Make every safety check obvious. Turn your head, not just your eyes, each time the car moves off and each time you reverse, corrections included.
- 3
Keep off the kerb. A strike is 10 points, so two strikes is a fail, and mounting it is an IF.
