BBDC Class 3A TP Test Guide

Bukit Batok Driving Centre · Auto car

Everything you need to walk into your TP practical test at BBDC Bukit Batok knowing exactly what's coming: the test-day routine, every circuit station and its number, the road traps, and how the tester scores you.

Key facts

How you fail

1 Immediate Failure (IF), or 20 or more demerit points. Demerits come in steps of 2, so 18 is the highest passing score. You only go on the road with less than 20 and no IF.

Test length

About 20–40 min of driving: circuit first (roughly 10–20 min), then the road (5–15 min, shorter at peak hours).

Test fee (2026)

$336.15: $40.00 TP fee + $2.94 admin + $293.21 test vehicle and warm-up. No refund if you cancel. Private candidates pay their instructor's car charge instead, often $500–700 in total.

BBDC Class 3A pass rate

53% first attempt, 57% repeat (Traffic Police data, Aug 2025 – Jul 2026). The highest of the 3 centres.

Speed limits

Bukit Batok Road is 70 km/h, and Choa Chu Kang Road and Brickland Road are 60. Most estate roads are 50, and a few are 40. Going over is an IF, but too slow costs points too, so keep near the limit.

Parking time limits

Vertical parking 3 minutes, parallel parking 5 minutes. Going over either is an IF.

If you remember only three things

  1. 1

Learn the circuit numbers. Testers say "go to 51" or "turn right at 12", and wrong-lane and form-up IFs come from not knowing where you're going. Turn right before the number, left after it.

  2. 2

Stop fully at every stop line, then look. It's the circuit IF learners mention most, along with mounting the kerb on the way out of a lot.

  3. 3

Check behind on every reverse, corrections and the way out of a lot included. Missed checks in parking cost 4 points each and add up fast.
